Traveling Book Show 2009 - book detail by Crossett Library.

So you want to be a part of the Traveling Book Show?!

Here’s how:

1. Make A Book!

It can be about any thing in the world. Check out Dorothy’s Great Zine to learn how to make a simple book, or get creative!

a. Some Ideas for books:

I. Drawings that dictate how your mom is feeling
II. Stains from what you ate for breakfast
III. Your route to work

Your book should have the following paragraph somewhere inside of it:

” This book is part of The Traveling Book Show, (optional description of the project) Winter 2010. To learn more, visit travelingbookshow.wordpress.com. Mail this book to anyone, and return it to the address below by or around February 28th:

1 College Drive

Bennington VT , 05201


2. Post your address (Jan 4- Feb 28) as a comment on this page and check out the Facebook Group Page


3. Send your book to someone who has posted their address, or send your book to anyone that you would like to! Just make sure to include some information inside your book about its purpose.

    I received Drew’s book from Joan Goodrich and my daughter and I just added a recipe and will be sending it off to my sister in Oregon tomorrow with a special request that she send it to someone from the above list. Amazing fun!

    My subject is basically about things that can’t speak speaking, and having awkward conversations (like parking meters, cars, dinosaurs, kitchen utensils, couches). And of course, would love to contribute with any and all, and will send an address out as soon as I establish one!

    just try to record the anarchy of your mind(s).
